Happy Man was first released in 1985 as the theme song for the film, Infatuation. It was composed and performed by Lowell Lo. This legendary song by Lo had brought him to the pinnacle of his career. The use of the Chinese instrument, erhu in the song was highly appreciated by music critics at that time. Thirty-five years later, Lo has given a new lease of life to the song. He remastered the song and replaced the erhu with a unique Mongolian instrument known as the Morin Khuur. The combination of Eastern and Western instruments with Lo’s folk style singing gives a sense of calm and wisdom in the song which matches the theme of the song, a happy honest man.
