J-pop singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu’s music video for his former Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Peace Sign” has earned 100 million views on YouTube, becoming his fifth video to reach the milestone.

The video achieved this feat at 1 p.m. JST on Saturday, Sept. 1, joining the ranks of “Lemon” (over 1.5 million views at press time), “Loser” (1.1 million), “Eine Kleine” (1.3 million) and his long-running hit collab with DAOKO “Uchiage Hanabi” (1.8 million).

"Peace Sign" was written as the opener for Season 2 of the popular TV animation series My Hero Academia, and the official music video was shot on film to achieve the grainy, spontaneous visual effect.

Yonezu’s official YouTube channel now has over 2.2 million subscribers, and his videos are being viewed at a rate of over 10 million times per week, according the platform’s Japan Weekly Artist Ranking.
