J-pop girl group Nogizaka46 rises 10-1 on this week’s Billboard Japan Hot 100 dated Nov. 12 to 18 with “Kaerimichi Ha Toomawari Shitakunaru” (which roughly translates to “feel like taking the long way home” in English). The group’s 22nd single and last song featuring graduating member Nanase Nishino in the center position sold 1,103,609 copies in its first week, dominating three metrics of the chart’s methodology: physical sales, look-ups, and Twitter mentions.

Looking at the other metrics, while “Kaerimichi Ha Toomawari Shitakunaru” wasn’t downloaded as much as the group’s previous million-seller “Jikochu De Iko!” was in its first week, it fared better in streaming. “Jikochu De Iko!” has become a long-running hit, still charting on the tally after hitting No. 1 in August, and the new single by the popular girl group has more than enough momentum to follow suit.

Japanese rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN soars 55-2 this week with “Hanashi Ga Shitaiyo.” The title track of the band’s first “triple-A” single was fueled mainly by physical sales (No. 3), look-up (No. 2), and radio airplay (No. 3) points, while also while also performing well in downloads (No. 12).

The two other songs on the release bowed on the tally this week, with “Spica” at No. 23 and “Sirius” at No. 54. Both of these tracks were powered by downloads.

Pop-rock band back number’s latest ballad “Old Fashion” continues to rule downloads this week, and while it slips 4-8 on the Japan Hot 100, it remains within reach of the top spot ahead of its CD release on Wednesday (Nov. 21).

Aimyon’s “Konya Konomama” leads streaming for the third consecutive week, and while the CD went on sale Nov. 14, downloads and stresms for the single actually increased, lifting it up 9-4 on this week’s Japan Hot 100.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and audio streams from Apple Music, AWA, Google Play Music, KKBOK, LINE MUSIC, Rakuten Music, Recochoku provided by Gfk Japan, as well as streaming counts based on lyrics displayed on PetitLyrics.
